Residential Re-Location Services
Dream Home Solutions has a large inventory of upscale, contemporary as well as heritage properties as part of its residential listings to offer to clients. The Realty team has access to skilled home styling professionals to help clients do up their homes in the style that they prefer, without having to manage local service providers themselves.
The Realty department also offers the following services:
- Sourcing of furnished / semi- furnished accommodation.
- Negotiation for furnishing of unfurnished properties as per the client’s requirements.
- Renting of full-service apartments for short stays (up to a few months).
Dream Home Solutions takes care of all the preparatory work in the residential realty area that will ensure your move-in day will be a wonderful experience.
Pre-Arrival Services
Our pre-arrival package allows you a glimpse of your new host city. Starting with a traditional warm Indian welcome at our office, and a brief session on living and working in India, the city orientation tour has a packed agenda. A Dream Home Solutions Relocation Advisor gives you a complete idea of the look and feel of the city, living conditions, transport and other infrastructure facilities, schooling, shopping, entertainment and medical services. The agenda includes a lunch session that allows you to get to know more about local cuisines and even try eating with your fingers!
A brief introduction to expat-friendly residential zones and the business district of the city is part of this tour. Another item on our agenda that sets us apart from our competition and which our clients find very useful is a visit to an expatriate home to allow you to get a first hand account of what living in the city entails.
You get to take away a detailed information manual that serves as a ready reference for the city of your choice, together with a map and advice on the essentials for day to day living, as well as exciting leisure and recreation options in and around town.
Settling-in Services
This program is designed to assist our clients and their family with settling-in issues. Dream Home Solutions steps in as your interface with service providers, professional “friend,” and cultural translator. Our Settling-in programs are customized to suit each of your unique needs and include the following:
- Moving-in
- Home interiors
- Buying appliances and setting up
- Setting up bank accounts
- Telephone and internet connections
- Neighborhood familiarization – shops, services, medical facilities, leisure options.
- Spouse activities
- Pre-school, day care and school search
- Community resources and clubs
We also provide you with a help line number where you can reach our Relocation team even after business hours, to help you with any queries, emergencies or unforeseen occurrences that may take place during the initial phase of your stay here.
Repatriation
The Repatriation program allows our clients to effectively wind up their homes in India and prepare for journeying to the next destination. Some of the services offered under this program are:
- Inspection of property and inventory out (where relevant)
- Notify Post Office of change of address
- Arrange for mail forwarding service
- Cancel club memberships
- Arrange for disposal of any trash following the move out
- Arrange for transfer of school records
- Arrange for donation of any remaining furniture / other items not being shipped with the client to local charities
- Assist the client with the disposal of any cars not being shipped out of India (Such assistance does not include price negotiation on behalf of the client, though)
- Contact all relevant utilities and arrange for service cancellation and final billing
- Accompany Assignee and family to local authorities for visa / residency, etc
- And complete forms to exit the host country
Foreigners Registration in India
Popularly known as FRO/FRRO, it is mandatory for all foreigners having visas for a period exceeding 6 months (except a few exempted categories) to register at the nearest office of the Foreigners Registration Office. The registration is to be done within 14 days of first arrival, and includes all persons of Indian origin who hold passports of other countries and are on a visa to India. Dream Home Solutions will provide necessary assistance in completing the paperwork for getting your registration done.
